Psychotherapeutic treatment
Psychotherapeutic treatment in "KARTUSHYNSKA. CLINIC»
Psychotherapy, the functions of a psychotherapist and the idea of what they do, in Ukraine is surrounded by myths, hypotheses and rumors, often they come from films or social networks.
Let’s dispel the myths and, for clarification, explain the difference between a Psychotherapist and a Psychotherapist according to the legislation of Ukraine. A psychotherapist is a person with a higher medical education who has undergone advanced training in the field of “Psychotherapy”. A psychotherapist is a person with a non-medical higher education who has a diploma of higher education “Psychology”, completed the specialization “Clinical Psychology”, on the basis of which he underwent advanced training in the specialization “Psychotherapy”.
Some people think that psychotherapists work only in psychiatric clinics with seriously ill people and therefore are afraid to apply. First of all, this is facilitated by people’s low awareness of their mental and psychological health. Many people do not even realize that with the help of a consultation session, a private psychotherapist can improve their lives.
When is the help of a psychotherapist necessary?
Usually, all mental disorders develop gradually, starting with subtle symptoms, and increase over time.
You need to consult a psychotherapist when you have the following signs:
- Character changes that appeared within a short period of time;
- If there are a lot of stressful events in life that you find difficult to cope with, a feeling of hopelessness, constant tension, difficulty concentrating, depression;
- Feeling of constant fatigue, no desire to do basic work;
- If you have constant worries, phobias, unreasonable anxiety, fears, panic attacks;
- Insomnia or constant drowsiness;
- Unpleasant physical sensations in the body that are not associated with chronic diseases;
- Unfounded, regular bouts of aggression, anger and irritability.
What does a psychotherapist treat?
A psychotherapist is a specialist who treats mental disorders that occur against the background of stress, acquired mental trauma in childhood or adulthood. But these disorders are not associated with severe diseases of the brain or its injuries, these problems are solved by consulting a psychiatrist. The main method of work is consultation.
To the clinic “KARTUSHYNSKA.CLINIC“, you can apply with the following problems:
- Depressive states;
- Bipolar disorders of various origins;
- Phobias and fears;
- Treatment of neuroses, panic attacks, increased anxiety;
- Mental trauma and its consequences;
- Obsessive-compulsive disorders, unreasonable anxiety;
- Psychosomatic state, etc.
Like an ordinary doctor, sometimes children also need a psychotherapist. There is no need to be afraid of this, because sometimes children’s problems can develop into serious mental disorders in adulthood and their consultation will be much more difficult.
Today, in modern psychotherapy, specialists use many different areas for consultation and treatment.
The psychotherapist selects the method of therapy individually during the first session. After the appointment, the psychotherapist already knows how he will work, and sometimes he can change the direction of treatment.
In Ukraine, many people do not know what a consultation is, how it takes place and what is happening there. Because of this, there is often a fear of the first appointment with a private psychotherapist.
A consultation with a psychotherapist is a conversation between a psychotherapist and a client aimed at solving his problems. Actually, the psychotherapist does not solve the problem, but helps the person to find a way to solve it on their own. For this purpose, group forms of consultation or individual can be used. The duration of treatment depends on the specific situation and problem of the person.
